New ‘Out There with the Birds’
Podcast
BWD Sales Director Ben Lizdas
and I have launched a new podcast
called “Out There with the Birds.”
Every other week or so Ben and I
chat about bird-related news of the
day, share our thoughts, and have a
laugh. Our first episode, released in
late November, covered these top-
ics: the winter finch forecast, how
turkeys were domesticated, how
bird guano is helping to reduce
climate change, why some birds get
hit by cars, birding in Honduras
and India, and the legality of eat-
ing road kill. There’s never a dull
moment. We hope you’ll listen in.
You can find all the episodes we’ve
done thus far at birdwatchersdigest.
com/podcasts.
Of course there’s a lot of other
stuff going on at BWD and in this
issue, too. But you can read our
“What’s Happening at BWD”
update on page 6 and check out
the table of contents for this issue’s
stories.
Happy spring birding!
